Meet Reilly Rose, an East End-raised, NYC-based singer-songwriter bringing a little theatrical magic to indie folk. A pianist since age seven, Reilly creates nostalgic, lyric-driven music inspired by artists like Regina Spektor and Adrianne Lenker.

But music is only one part of her creative world. She’s also an NYU Gallatin graduate, filmmaker, actress, and sketch comedian. Her background in storytelling and performance comes through in music that feels equal parts poetry, theater, and diary entry.

Start with “If You Were a Subway” from her debut EP, Missiles Mothers & Missions, released in May 2026.

The EP’s title actually comes from a lyric in this song, which makes it a fitting introduction to Reilly’s world. The five-track project took over a year to record and brings together some of the earliest songs she felt truly represented her sound.

We have a soft spot for women who refuse to fit into one creative category, and Reilly Rose is exactly that.

Between her songwriting, filmmaking, comedy, and wonderfully theatrical approach to music, she’s building a creative world entirely her own.

Her songs have that rare ability to feel nostalgic for something you haven’t even experienced yet. They’re thoughtful, a little whimsical, sometimes funny, and often painfully relatable.
